Homeless shelter DOB apps put on hold

homelessshelter_blogInitial applications to renovate an abandoned warehouse at 78-16 Cooper Ave. for a proposed 125-family homeless shelter were put on hold this week.

In order to expand the warehouse and make room for the Samaritan Village transitional hüpfburg kaufen housing facility, the applicant submitted three necessary applications with the Department of Buildings (DOB) on July 11 to begin the renovation process.

The proposal; to expand, along with plumbing and mechanical fixtures applications, were sent back to the applicant by DOB on July 28.

Summer Events at Atlas Park Mall

UnknownAtlas Park Mall is a hidden gem tucked into Glendale, located at 8000 Cooper Ave.  The outdoor mall includes not structure gonflable only stores, restaurants, and movie theater, it will be hosting events almost everyday this summer on their lawn.

Monthly Meeting of Community Board 5, Queens Tonight

HNRH_landuse_4_17The next regular monthly meeting of CB5 Queens is tonight (Wednesday, July 9) at 7:30pm, at Christ the King in the CNL Room (Door # 10 on the 3rd Floor), located at 68-02 Metropolitan Avenue in Middle Village.

The meeting agenda includes a presentation giochi gonfiabili regarding the upcoming capital project for the Glendale Branch Library, by Queens Public Library representatives and the project architects; public forum, the chairperson’s report; and committee reports.
