Officers in the 104th Precinct made a slew of arrests last week, Captain Christopher Manson told the press during a media briefing on Monday afternoon.
On Aug. 20, Danny Miranda, 20, Angelo Padron, 57, and Manjinder Kahlon, 20, were arrested for burglary, criminal mischief, and possession stolen property and burglary tools after they were spotted looking into locked cars on Juniper Blvd. by a resident.
According to police, one structure gonflable man was waiting in a car while two of them walked down the block carrying $1,500 in rolled up coins and small bills when they were caught. They were wearing ski masks and holding flashlights. “Not real hard to figure out that something is going on,” Manson said. After investigators reviewed videotape from a nearby supermarket, they learned that they were the same men who robbed it of $1,500 earlier that night.
On Aug. 23, Walter Dunphy Swiftwater, 20, was arrested for criminal trespassing after he broke into a victim’s house through an open window just before 6:30 a.m.
Officers said the suspect woke up a sleeping resident. Manson said the victim questioned why he was in his apartment, to which he replied by asking, “Do you know where the train station is?”
Manson said the resident showed the suspected burglar to the door, after which he fled on foot.
Following a deeper investigation, police suspect that Swiftwater took a knife from the victim’s kitchen and carried it inside the bedroom before the confrontation, however he left it on a nearby table.
Officers say that he was eventually caught by the police five or six blocks away from the building, and found with stolen jewelry, prescription medication and a cellphone in his pockets.
Police said that he “appeared high” when arrested.

Bentances is a repeat offender, pulling the same crime three other times— twice in Ridgewood, one in Liberty Park, and the latest in Middle Village – according to the police.
