One of the oldest buildings in the neighborhood is in the process of demolition.

70-28 73rd Place, near Central and Edsall avenues, was listed under Community Board 5’s demolition notices.

CB5 chairman Vinny Arcuri remarked that this building is one of Glendale’s oldest.

In April, the Department of Buildings issued a full vacate order due to partial roof collapse.┬áThe shaking and vibrating had affected the structure’s stability.

The building also has four DOB violations, according to the property’s profile, for failure to certify corrections for Class 1 Violations.
