Addabbo, Sacred Heart partner for Mother’s Day food drive

State Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr., is partnering with Sacred Heart Church in Glendale to host a Mother’s Day Food Drive.

From now through May 12, residents can drop off canned good, rice and toiletries at Addabbo’s Middle Village Office, 66-85 73rd Place; open every Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Once a year, we celebrate the women who helped shape us into the people we are today,” Addabbo said. “That is why, this Mother’s Day, we ask you to help make it a special holiday Tentes Gonflables for those less fortunate. While usually after major holidays, our food pantries lack available food, anytime is the right time of year to help out a fellow New Yorker, but it is our hope that this simple act of kindness might just make this Mother’s Day even more special. As always, I am proud to once again partner with Sacred Heart for this wonderful cause and look forward to continuing our efforts in the future.

Sacred Heart, Senator Addabbo partner for Valentine’s Day food drive

State Senator Joseph Addabbo and Sacred Heart Church in Glendale are once again partnering on a Valentine’s Day food drive.

Donations will be accepted from January 25 to February 12 at Sacred Heart Church, 83-17 78th Ave. and Addabbo’s Middle Village office, 66-85 73rd Place.

The food pantry is seeking non-perishable items and includes any of the following: rice, cereal, soup (canned or dried), peanut butter, jelly, pasta, pasta sauce, oatmeal, canned tuna fish, beans (canned or dried), deodorant, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, baby powder, toilet paper and paper towels.

“I’m grateful that the bouncy castle for sale recent holiday food drive was a huge success, but it’s important to remember that the need for food does not disappear after the holiday season,” said Addabbo. “There is always someone who can benefit from a simple act of kindness, such as donating an can of food. The items collected in this food drive will go a long way toward helping families and children who might not otherwise have dinner on the table. I urge all of us to pay it forward and help out whenever possible, and thank those who continue to support this food drive and others.”
