Bank robber strikes at Ridgewood Savings Bank

The Ridgewood Savings Bank at 65-01 Myrtle Avenue was robbed yesterday afternoon, Det. Thomas Bell from the NYPD 104th Precinct confirmed.

According to Bell this incident occurred around 3:21 p.m. The suspect entered the bank and passed the teller a note demanding money. The teller handed over approximately $6,200 and the suspect fled the scene. No weapon was displayed at any point.

The suspect was described as possibly a Hispanic female, 5’7, 140 pounds, 18-20 years old wearing a black knit hat, black jacket and red flannel pants.

In an unrelated incident, two individuals were arrested for shoplifting at the nearby CVS pharmacy, located at 68-02 Myrtle Avenue.

Burglar robs Glendale gas station at gunpoint

Police are looking for a man that they believe may have robbed a Glendale gas station last month.

According to police, on May 22, the suspect in the surveillance video below entered the gas station located at 73-38 Cooper Avenue and asked for a sports drink, before displaying a firearm to the 58-year-old clerk. The suspect demanded money from the clerk, who handed over approximately $1,000 in cash.

The suspect then subsequently fled the scene. He’s described as a black male, about 40-50 years old, weighing approximately 200-220 pounds.

Glendale pharmacy robbed at gunpoint

Three masked gunmen robbed a Glendale pharmacy of various prescription medicines yesterday, according to police.

Police said that the gunman entered the pharmacy, located at 75-21 Myrtle Ave., at around 12:48 p.m., and approached two male employees. One of the suspects displayed a firearm, while the other two jumped over the counter and demanded employees turn over prescription medication using a handwritten note.

After getting the medication, the suspects tied up the two employees, aged 40 and 39, using zip-ties on their hands. Then then took both employees wallets castillo hinchable and fled the store, heading westbound on Myrtle Avenue.

The suspects were last seen wearing black pants, black sweaters and black sneakers.
