Myrtle Ave BID proposes an expansion into Glendale

Ted Renz and the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) are looking into possibly expanding the current BID into Glendale bouncy castle along Myrtle Avenue from Fresh Pond Road to Cooper Avenue.

Last week, Renz said there are several possibilities to build out the current BID, which currently encompasses Myrtle Avenue from Fresh Pond Road to Wyckoff Avenue; and suggested they either grow the current zone or look into creating a separate district on Fresh Pond Road.

“If we do the expansion, and it does come to fruition, it would be a mammoth new BID,” Renz said.

While the discussions are still in the preliminary phases, Renz said the 365toy next step is to take it up with the Myrtle Ave. BID board.

“I’ll bring it to the BID board to see if they want to peruse an expansion,” he explained. “Then we’d do it under the hat of the Myrtle Ave. BID.”
