Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina stopped by P.S. 91 on Central Avenue in Glendale this morning to urge parents to apply for the upcoming Community Education Council elections. Each school district has a council, which consists of nine elected parents – you have to have a child in grades K-8 to qualify – and two borough president appointees.
